MUSIC VIDEOS

I am a musician and for several years that’s all I did, touring around the world playing trumpet and meeting wonderful people also playing music. I love creating movement to music. Here are some of my favourite of my projects.

Paul McCartney - III

My good friend Lucy was commissioned to make an entire album of lyric videos for Paul McCartney’s album III. It was an enormous undertaking so I came on board to animate the beautiful illustrations her sister Molly drew, Paul’s handwriting and a few other bits and pieces.

 Sally Seltmann

I love Sally’s music and have worked with her on several projects. The glorious textures in her music and the different moods that lie within each song are really perfect for dreaming up pictures and movement. These productions were also very minimal, just me in my studio animating away or with Sally out in the park.

THE ICYPOLES

This is the video I made for my own band, The Icypoles. Cinematography by Gus Kemp.

DR DOG

I just wanted to make a musical and Dr Dog had a great dramatic song for me to work with. I interpreted their lyrics to be from the perspective of a reformed cat burglar.

Yo GABBA GABBA

It was a dream come true to work for Yo Gabba Gabba, a super creative kids show. The song was written by Kevin Lee at Yo Gabba Gabba, Performed by The Sunbears and directed and animated by me!
